Tuesday's Truth (I love to drive & travel)

Truth is, I really love to travel, and I really love roadtrips.

I'm taking one this weekend, and maybe even next weekend. This weekend I'm going to San Francisco and the bay area with my lovely lady. We plan on seeing a lot of cool stuff like Alcatraz and eating some awesome food. And I haven't seen my cousin Lisa in a while, and she lives in San Jose with her super cool husband Dan and their new baby, Riley!

We leave Thursday morning and we're coming back Sunday. I keep looking at more and more things to do in SF and I get more and more excited. See here and here and here.

One thing about roadtrips is music. You gotta, gotta, gotta have the right music. If it were just me, I'd crank it. But since I'm with the lady fair, I need to turn it down. She's a fan, but not that big of a fan. And we don't full agree on what is good music. I'll make/pick the playlists and she'll bend and kinda like them. I'm not really feeling like listening to musicals and such. That's how we roll.

Tuesday's Truth (I love the morning)

I know there are a lot of people that don't like waking up and hate seeing the sun after a long night of sound sleeping. I'm not one of them. I don't wake up extra early, but I hate sleeping in. I totally feel like I'm wasting some beautiful time of the day.

Right now: Newhall Coffee (Mexican Custepec) is brewing, I just ate my favorite breakfast and HGTV is on. I'm going to put away some laundry and listen to some music, and this is all before I go to work! Ok, I work at noon, but still I put in an 8 hr day.

On a sidenote: I'm looking to take a trip up to San Jose & San Francisco in a couple of days. Any ideas?

Tuesday's Truth (Things That Go Bump in the Night)

Truth be told I'm a little bit afraid of the dark.

I would think that more people are than aren't, but I don't know.

Tuesday's Truth

I think I officially became old a while back when I discovered that my favorite cereal, and probably one of my favorite breakfasts, is Kroger Bran Flakes and Rice Dream Rice Milk.

Period. No added sugar. Sometimes, sometimes I'll slice a strawberry or something. I used to eat a banana a long side of this delicious treat, but that is another sad story (sadness begins here.) {edit - happiness begins here}.

I used to also put flaxseed in here, like Bob's Red Mill or Trader Joe's Blueberry flavored flaxseed. Sometimes you feel like a nut, and sometimes you're lazy.

Anyhow... I pour cereal in bowl. I pour milk in bowl. I eat. This is one of the most delicious things to me. Call it boring if you will.

Tuesday's Truths - The good, bad, the allergies.

OK, so I wasn't sure of what to write, so I thought I'd write the obvious ones that I overlook everyday, and things I've been told by my close friends.

• I have allergies. I twitch, itch, scratch, rub my ears, rub my nose, rub my eyes, lick the roof of my mouth, and sniff my nose (even when there ain't crap in there). My lovely girlfriend gets annoyed by this. Because of all of this, I'm often touching my face or at least my head. She makes fun of me and mocks me. I don't realize I do it. To me it's like there's this internal itch that I'm trying scratch inside my head and there is no way to reach it. (and now that I've told her that she doesn't have to have a blogger account to reply to my blog posts, I'm sure she'll inject her $.02.)
• I have a good sense of smell. I'm not sure that I have an excellent sense of smell, I think I can just get in touch with the verbal description of it. (this links up to the next truth...)
• I am good at describing smells/tastes. Whatever it is, I can put words to it, and when I put words to it, you're going to know exactly what I mean. Seriously. I'm just talking about what it tastes like/smells like but you'll (just wiped my face) totally know what I mean.
• I am good at analogies. I think I just don't stumble on descriptive words. I can describe a feeling or an emotion or just anything and have you get what I mean, in a colorful way. Eric thinks I'm amazing at this, but I think that is going a little overboard.

OK... so lovely friends... what are some of my other idiosyncrasies or nuances? Any comments on the above?

Tuesday's Truth - I love KGMC & How I Got to Be There

Well, for this truth I decided to "let the cat out of the bag." I really, really, like my job and where I work. There, I said it. I'm sorry if you're jealous. Maybe your job isn't cool, maybe your boss isn't cool... I got all of the above.

Tuesday's Truth: I've never had any broken bones... that I know of.

So yeah, I've never had any broken bones... that I know of.

I think I broke a toe once or twice, but they don't do anything for that and I think I knew that so I didn't do anything about it. The pain hurts, a lot, but you just learn to deal with it and eventually it doesn't hurt anymore, but I never got it x-rayed.

So here goes my truth..

I love TV shows about homes. I'm currently watching HGTV. I love Holmes on Homes, If These Walls Could Talk, etc. Extreme Makeover Home Edition is a different breed. That show just pulls at my heart strings.
