Everything You Should Play When Playing Country Guitar
1) I missed the Wordless Wednesday this week.
2) This guy is amazingly good. If you play country music, you should try to play half of what he plays and you might still get all of the Daisy Dukes to go home with you.
Wow....

Afghan Whigs Reuniting For First Shows in 13 Years
Recently becoming a fan, I have never seen this band, but I'm definitely a fan of anything Greg Dulli gets involved with, and this is where it started. Maybe, just maybe, I'll get to a show.

Tuesday's Truth
I think I officially became old a while back when I discovered that my favorite cereal, and probably one of my favorite breakfasts, is Kroger Bran Flakes and Rice Dream Rice Milk.
Period. No added sugar. Sometimes, sometimes I'll slice a strawberry or something. I used to eat a banana a long side of this delicious treat, but that is another sad story (sadness begins here.) {edit - happiness begins here}.
I used to also put flaxseed in here, like Bob's Red Mill or Trader Joe's Blueberry flavored flaxseed. Sometimes you feel like a nut, and sometimes you're lazy.
Anyhow... I pour cereal in bowl. I pour milk in bowl. I eat. This is one of the most delicious things to me. Call it boring if you will.

Friends & Coffee
(Written 5/12/10)
Ok, so today started off a little rough because of not enough sleep, but it got awesome... pretty damn quick.
Mitch (Newhall Coffee) invited a bunch of people over to kinda groundbreak the new "Mitch's Java 'n Jazz". He needed a tasting room so he built it and plans to host events there once or twice a month. And he plans on having live music too. That'll be awesome.

Salvation Army To Accept Credit Cards In Kettles
Do you brush off Salvation Army bell-ringers, saying that you don't have any cash? In certain cities, you'll need to find a different excuse. This holiday season, the ubiquitous charity introduces kettles that accept credit cards.
'It used to be people would spend their money at the store counters, walk out and drop their change in the kettles. They don't shop that way anymore,' said Major Don Gilger, coordinator of the Salvation Army of El Paso County. 'We all realize that people are carrying less cash than they did 10 years ago.'
The kettles that take credit don't look any different. But next to the metal red kettles are wireless card readers that resemble do-it-yourself readers at gas stations. The machines print two receipts, one for the donor and one to drop in the kettle. Salvation Army pays credit-processing fees same as any retailer.
The program worked well in test cities Dallas and Colorado Springs last year, and will roll out in 120 more.
